Deficiency of a-state-of-art medical equipment’s like modern microscopes, which detects the TB disease is lagging the performance of the health sector, the study conducted by Bio Med Central pointed out.

According to the study, 50 percent of laboratory microscopes in Amhara and other regions cannot detect TB and those who seek to get a referral service force to wait an average of 2 months to have it.

The poor service delivery of the health posts is too major headache attributable to their failure to launch treatment of the TB disease, the study says.

Therefore, the study finds out that health posts are suffocated with people who suffers from the last stage of the disease; the imbalance between the service provision and the demand from the people side.

People infected with TB usually visit health posts from 15 to 18 days that is supposed to be improved in the future, the study recommends.
